I bring over 20 years of weapons handling and instructional experience, supported by 13 years of military service and multiple deployments to Afghanistan. My background is built on real-world application—where discipline, accountability, and performance are non-negotiable.
I have completed multiple military specialty schools and hold civilian certifications through the NRA, including Range Safety Officer (RSO), Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, and Home Defense Instructor.

Kyle Mize serves as Vice President and Instructor at Three Pillars of Defense Academy, where he supports daily operations, mentors instructors, and helps ensure training remains relevant, effective, and grounded in real-world application.
He brings over 20 years of experience in firearms handling, range safety, and tactical instruction. His background is built on practical application and a commitment to maintaining high standards in both instruction and performance.
Kyle holds multiple certifications, including Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO)
NRA Pistol and Rifle Instructor, NOLS Wilderness First Aid, and SIG Sauer Bullets and Bandages (Parts 1 & 2), along with additional tactical and medical training from respected civilian providers.
